December 2014

As I write this the Winter Solstice is upon us. For us in the Northern Hemisphere it is the longest night of the year and celebrates the rebirth of the sun and beginning of winter. Desert Palm Press has had an incredible year. We have added two new authors, Beth Wylde and TJ Whittle, and released nine books, several of which have been #1 both here in the States, as well as in Canada and the UK. Please see the September Newsletter for a long list of our accomplishments this year.

We were one of the sponsors for the Left Coast Lesbian Conference. What a great time. A special thanks to Isabella and her wife of Sapphire Books  and to Denise and Joanne of Casita Laquinta. Think about adding it to your calendar next year. Palm Springs in October is amazing.

DPP authors have received a number of recognitions and awards. Congratulations to Rae D. Magdon and Michelle Magly for their achievements. They are three out of the top five in their category for the 2014 Rainbow Awards.

Lesbian Sci-Fi / Futuristic & Fantasy
Chronicles of Osota - Warrior by Michelle Magly
Dark Horizons by Rae D. Magdon & Michelle Magly
Wolf’s Eyes (Amendyr Series Book 2) by Rae D. Magdon

Kudos, too, to AJ Adaire. Her book, Awaiting My Assignment was named as one of the Top Twenty Contemporary Lesbian Romances from 2013 by Elaine Lynch writing as E.B. Mulligan, 6/4/2014.

Desert Palm Press can now be found at Bella Books. Our books are slowly being uploaded. There is now six up and hopefully the full library will be there sometime in January.

We have a number of books in the pipeline for 2015 for the first half of the year...

AJ Adaire - I Love My Life

Rae D. Magdon - The Witch’s Daughter (Book 3 of the Amendyr Series)

S. L. Kassidy - New Cuts, Old Wounds (Book 2 of the Scarred Series)

Rae D. Magdon and Michelle Magly - Starless Night (Book 2 of the Dark Horizons Series); All The Pretty Things (revised edition)

Beth Wylde - As yet still untitled (An anthology of lesbian erotica)

TJ Whittle - Working title Connections. Her debut novel.

The staff and authors of Desert Palm Press hope that you have a peaceful, kind, and safe holiday season regardless of what holiday you may celebrate.

Bright blessings,

Lee Fitzsimmons, Publisher
